The City government consists of four at-large council members and a mayor, all with equal voting rights. By City Charter, Panama City Beach has a City Manager form of government. The City Municipal Complex is located at the intersection of Stare Road 79 and Panama City Beach Parkway (Back Beach Road). The Complex includes City Hall, the PCB Police Department, the main fire station, No. 31, and the Public Services Building. Public Services houses the Water and Utilities departments, Building and Planning, Public Works and the CRA.
The City of Panama City Beach is approximately 16 square miles and is located along the Gulf of Mexico in Florida's Great Northwest. The City is populated by approximately 14,000 permanent residents and it is estimated that a high of 100,000 people visit the area daily during the peak summer months. The City population has experienced growth each year and is made up of a diverse population. Tourism is the City's primary industry.
