PCB residents on west end may see discolored water

Post Date:07/31/2018 8:00 AM

Due to a 30-inch water line leak discovered Monday within the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport water system, lower than normal water pressures occurred in the Bay County wholesale water system that supplies water to the Panama City Beach West Bay facility.

The leak has been fixed and the pressure normalized. As a result, a higher than normal amount of discolored water is being distributed through the system. Bay County will continue to flush the system, however, discolored water may be observed over the next 48 hours. Discolored water is an aesthetic concern and is safe to drink. No boil water notices are anticipated at this time.
