Parking stickers for local residents now on sale

Post Date:06/15/2020 5:00 PM

Parking decals are now on sale in the Public Works department to local residents as part of a new pilot project approved by the PCB City Council June 11. The $30 decal allows Panama City Beach residents the use of reserved spots in the City's three public parking lots. Local residents would still have to pay the parking rate of $1 per hour or $6 per day, which is paid by anyone who uses the lots for beach access or other use. Two of the lots are on or intersecting Front Beach Road.

The lots are located at:

  • 11117 Front Beach Road (at Richard Jackson Boulevard)
  • 600 Henley Circle (at Churchwell Drive and Front Beach Road)
  • 9961 Thomas Drive (across from Ripley's Believe It or Not)

This new residential parking pilot program reserves 86 spots -- or 25 percent of the available spots -- for local residents. The parking spaces have now been marked for local use.

To purchase a sticker, call Public Works at (850) 233-5100. A total of 175 decals are being issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Decals are valid through February 28, 2021.

Because of COVID-19, City offices remain closed. To inquire about a sticker, email Janine Thomas as jthomas@pcbgov.com. Anyone utilizing these parking lots will still need to download the Passport parking app on their phone to pay the hourly rate.
