Gov. Ron DeSantis has announced that Florida will execute phase two of its reopening plan, effective Friday, June 5. This phase will allow bars and clubs to reopen at 50% capacity inside with full capacity outside, and movie theaters and bowling alleys can reopen at 50% capacity.
“With phase two beginning, we are continuing to establish our ‘new normal’,” says President and CEO of Visit Panama City Beach Dan Rowe. “Most tourism-related businesses have now re-opened, including the SkyWheel, Shipwreck Island Waterpark, Wonderworks, Gulf World Marine Park and the Panama City Beach Sports Park. We are thrilled to be welcoming both new and returning guests to our beautiful white-sand beaches once again.”
Social distancing protocols will continue to be enforced, including maintaining group size to under 50 individuals and having a six-foot separation between groups. For more information regarding protections, visit https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/visitors.html
