PCB starts employee screening
Capt. Jacob Gorman and firefighter Connor Montfort, right, use a no contact thermometer to check the temperature of Public Works engineer Kathy Younce Monday as she arrives at work. Screening for all employees began this week at the beginning of each shift. Any employee who has a fever of 100 degrees or more will be sent home immediately on sick leave. Employees are also asked three questions: Do you have a cough? Do you have a sore throat? Do you have shortness of breath? The City has put these measures into place as a means of protecting our workforce and their families, as well as the community as a whole.
