Thanksgiving Closure/December Meeting Schedule
City Hall and other City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28-29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Three Special Meetings of the Mayor and City Council have been scheduled for December, in addition to the group's regular meeting on the second Thursday of the month.
A Special Meeting of the Panama City Beach City Council is set for Monday, December 2. At 11 a.m., the City will hear an appeal of a trespassing charge. At 1 p.m., the City will meet to discuss the candidates to be interviewed for the City Manager position; any other business which may come before the Council will also be discussed.
On December 12, there will be a public reception at City Hall for up to five finalists for the City Manager position. The public is encouraged to attend this 4:30 p.m. reception. Immediately following, the City Council will hold its regular meeting at 6 p.m.
City Council members will have one-on-one interviews with the City Manager candidates in the morning on Friday, December 13. At 1 p.m., candidates will be interviewed before the full Council in a Special Meeting. The selection of a new City Manager is expected at the end of that meeting.
All meetings will take place inside the new City Hall located at 17007 Panama City Beach Parkway, which is located behind the old City Hall, which will be torn down soon.
