What not to bring to Trump campaign rally
President Donald Trump is having a campaign rally at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at Aaron Bessant Park. The City is receiving a lot of inquiries from the public regarding what items can and cannot be taken inside the rally. The more things you have with you, the longer it will take to expedite you through security, so we are encouraging all attendees to bring in only items deemed absolutely necessary.
Here is a list of items that will not be allowed inside:
- Ammunition, explosives, firearms
- Animals, other than service/guide animal
- Large backpacks and bags
- Drones and other unmanned aircraft
- Glass, thermal or metal containers
- Laser pointers
- Mace/pepper spray
- Selfie sticks
- Signs of any kind
- Toy guns
- Weapons of any kind such as pocket knives
- Any other item deemed to be a potential hazard
Attendees will not be allowed in with these items. Any surrendered items will not be returned. There will be food and beverage vendors inside Aaron Bessant Park. We encourage you to dress comfortably and be prepared for heavy traffic and long lines. Wednesday's weather is expected to be hot, with an afternoon high of 81 degrees and an overnight low of 71 degrees. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies.
