From Keep PCB Beautiful:

Keep Panama City Beach Beautiful is looking for volunteers to help with two beach clean-up events.

Keep PCB Beautiful has teamed up with Gulf World, Gulf World Marine Institute, Sky Wheel and Miss Florida American Teen for a beach cleanup on Sunday, March 10, at Russell-Fields City Pier, 16201 Front Beach Road, from 3-5 p.m. A second event with Red Alert Diving is set for Saturday, March 16, at St. Andrews State Park, 4607 State Park Lane, from 2-4 p.m. This third Dive Against Debris event will include cleaning up trash above and below the water's surface.

Everyone who participates in the March 10 clean up at the City Pier across from Pier Park, will be entered to win prizes from Gulf World and Sky Wheel. Anyone who wants to help clean up in St. Andrews Park on March 16 will get complimentary admission to the park if participation with Keep PCB Beautiful is mentioned. Individuals can either walk the beaches and the park to clean up trash or dive with Red Alert to collect debris from the Gulf. Full tanks will be available for pickup at Red Alert Diving prior to the event.

"We are excited to work with Red Alert again because they make conservation a priority," said Keep PCB Beautiful Spokesperson Kim Christian. "And we are looking forward to working with other businesses and groups in the future to make a bigger impact on the community that we all love. If any local groups or businesses are interested in wanting to 'Team Up to Clean Up,' they can contact Keep PCB Beautiful directly."

Keep PCB Beautiful is a local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. The group’s vision is to make Panama City Beach a clean and beautiful place in which to live, work, and visit and to support environmental and conservation initiatives. Keep PCB Beautiful is working to clean up and green up from the streets to the beach and hopes to inspire individuals and businesses to improve the community and natural environment.
