Keep Panama City Beach Beautiful is official chapter
Keep Panama City Beach Beautiful has been officially certified by Keep America Beautiful, and the national group recently donated $20,000 to help with hurricane cleanup at parks.
The local group held a cleanup Sunday at St. Andrews State Park with assistance from Red Alert Diving, collecting 732 pounds of trash. Thirty-two volunteers participated. Many projects have already been planned for 2019, including a Cigarette Litter Prevention Campaign. Since April 2018, this group has logged more than 650 volunteer hours and picked up over 3,500 pounds of trash off the beaches and streets of Panama City Beach.
The group’s vision is to make Panama City Beach a clean and beautiful place in which to live, work and visit and to support environmental and conservation initiatives. Keep PCB Beautiful is working to clean up and green up from the streets to the beach and hopes to inspire individuals and businesses to improve the community and natural environment.
Keep PCB Beautiful has a passion for educating locals, individuals and business owners, as well as tourists about litter prevention and environmental and wildlife protection through respect and admiration for our coastal community and “America’s Most Beautiful Beaches.”
You are encouraged to be a part of the solution. Find the group on Facebook at Keep PCB Beautiful and for more information email firstname.lastname@example.org.
