The City of Panama City Beach is currently accepting applications for one Full-Time Police Sergeant (Patrol Division). Please review the full job description included in the application packet for qualification requirements. Specific requirements include: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); must have a minimum of two (2) years of continuous police work and one (1) additional year at a minimum at the rank of Corporal with Beach Police. Certification as a Florida State Police Officer under the Florida Police Standards and Training requirements. Must submit to pre-employment drug screening and complete pre-employment background investigation and pass physical abilities assessment. Applicants are required to provide proof of current physical (within six months) with application. Must possess valid Florida Driver’s License - driving record must be acceptable to the City insurance program. Applicants will be administered a Civil Service examination for the rank of which they are applying.

Interviews for qualified candidates will be scheduled for Wednesday, February 6, 2019

Submission of completed application materials, requested documentation and testing hours: Monday through Friday between the hours of 8AM - 3PM. The Civil Service Office closes for lunch from 12PM- 1PM.
